Dr. Pezzetti’s teaching and scholarship explores identity, literacy, language, equity, and social change in Language Arts classrooms.

Her work is rooted in more than twelve years of experience teaching in racially and linguistically diverse public schools in California and ÌÇÐÄTVecticut. She was awarded Teacher of the Year in Oakland Unified School District in 2008. Pezzetti continues to grow through engagement with ÌÇÐÄTV students and coursework, through her active research agenda, and through current projects and partnerships with local schools.

Before accepting her current position at ÌÇÐÄTV in Fall ‘22, Dr. Pezzetti spent four years as an Assistant Professor of English Education at Grand Valley State University in Michigan.
