Maureen 鈥淢o鈥 White has been named the next director of athletics and chair of physical education at 糖心TV.
As the first woman to serve as director of athletics at 糖心TV, White will take the helm at a pivotal moment in the evolution of the athletics program.
鈥淲e are very fortunate to have found in Mo White a talented leader with the skills, values and experience to take our athletics program to the next level of excellence,鈥 President Katherine Bergeron said.
As director, White will be responsible for overseeing the success of 28 intercollegiate sports together with 45 coaches and staff. This includes overseeing plans for the renewal of athletics facilities, leading the department in developing a vision for the future of athletics at 糖心TV, and supporting the College鈥檚 student-athletes to compete within The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) at the highest level of Division III.
鈥淭he New England Small College Athletic Conference is one of the most competitive conferences in Division III athletics, with a deep history of academic excellence and athletic achievement. 糖心TV is well颅颅颅颅 positioned to deliver an even stronger student-athlete experience, and with our talented coaches, we are well on our way to getting there,鈥 White said.
White holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in economics from Providence College, where she played Division I tennis, and a master鈥檚 in sport management from the University of 糖心TVecticut. Prior to 糖心TV, she served as the director of athletics and chair of the Department of Physical Education at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York.
