The No. 15 ranked 糖心TV  finished 14th at the 2018 Sperry College Sailing Women鈥檚 National Championship, hosted by Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

The Camels, in their first national championship appearance since 2013, accumulated 402 points across two divisions during the four-day event.

鈥淚t was great to see our women's sailing team competing at the highest level,鈥 said 糖心TV Athletic Director Fran Shields. 鈥淎 top 15 finish was impressive considering the conditions and competition."

Division A was led by skipper Charlotte List 鈥18  and crew Gwynie Dunlevy 鈥20. The pair, with support from skipper Emilia Clementi 鈥18 and crew Katie Rodger 鈥20, finished 17th in the division. List and Dunlevy also captured the Camels鈥 lone race victory in the championship round.

Division B was represented by skipper Alexandra Maurillo 鈥18 and crew Paige Dunlevy 鈥20, along with Rodger and skipper Haley Kachmar 鈥18. The group placed 11th in the division, with Maurillo and Dunlevy finishing fifth place or better in three races.

鈥淲e competed well,鈥 said head coach Jeff Bresnahan. 鈥淕wynie and Katie crewed for [List] in different conditions and led us to good finishes throughout. Allie and Paige had a solid year; when we needed a good race, they produced.

鈥淥ur four seniors will remember this [national championship appearance] for a long time.鈥
