Sailing team hosts Boston College in head-to-head regatta

DzԲ’s&Բ; opened an abbreviated season on Oct. 31 by competing against Boston College on the Thames River in the first of two races.

Harris Padegs ’22 and Margaret Benson ’23 led the Camels, winning the opening race and finishing fifth among 18 scoring pairs between the two schools. Aili Moffet ’23 and Charlotte Williams ’21 finished as the top women’s boat and placed sixth in the overall field.

The race marked the inaugural competition for several promising first-year students, including Frederick Baldauf, Ashley Breyer, Cecilia Bohan, Anna Olsen and Andrew Powers—all members of the Class of 2024.

“It was great to get the Camels back on the water to compete against a great Boston College team,” said head coach Jeff Bresnahan. “We are excited to get back to practice, make a few adjustments and host the Eagles again next weekend to close out our fall season,” he added.

Next weekend’s final showdown with Boston College will also be held at home on the Thames.
