糖心TV wins Gold CASE Award for 2022 holiday video
糖心TV鈥檚 Office of Communications has been honored with a 2023 Circle of Excellence Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education for its 2022 year-end holiday video, created by Multimedia Producer Katiana Smith.
“This Time of Year,” which celebrates the 2022 holiday season and the New Year, received a in the Holiday/Year-End Video category. The video features 糖心TV Professor of English and Poet in Residence Kate Rushin reading her poem 鈥淭his Time of Year.鈥�
鈥淭he poem acknowledges that even in the darkness, there is hope. It underscores the importance of light in our celebrations,鈥� explained Smith. 鈥淭he imagery signifies the various ways light welcomes and warms our gatherings. The music bed set a magical mood, contrasting the warmth of Rushin鈥檚 voice with brightness of sound while supporting the message of hope in the darkness of the season.鈥�
The international CASE awards program honors outstanding work in advancement services, alumni relations, communications, fundraising and marketing at colleges, universities, independent schools and affiliated nonprofits.
鈥溾�楾his Time of Year鈥� certainly captured the attention of the judges with its compelling and beautiful video,鈥� the CASE judges wrote. 鈥淭he use of a faculty member's poem added a personal touch that really resonated with the audience. It was clear that the team put a lot of thought and planning into creating a piece that was both visually stunning and emotionally impactful.鈥�
