The 糖心TV Orchestra will perform music heard in the popular Golden Globe-winning show “Mozart in the Jungle.”

Conducting will be Mark Seto, an assistant professor of music at the College and conductor of The Chelsea Symphony, one of the orchestras that provided on-screen musicians for the popular show. The half-hour comedic show will begin its third season on Amazon Prime on Dec. 9.
Describing the evening鈥檚 musical selections, including W.A. Mozart's 鈥淥verture to The Magic Flute,鈥 Franz Schubert's "Unfinished" Symphony, and Arturo M谩rquez's 鈥淒anz贸n No. 2,鈥 Seto said that the Schubert and M谩rquez pieces were featured in 鈥淢ozart in the Jungle鈥 and the Mozart and Schubert pieces are classics of orchestral literature. The M谩rquez, a contemporary Mexican work, was popularized by Gustavo Dudamel and the Sim贸n Bol铆var Youth Orchestra of Venezuela.
Tickets are $5; seniors and students, $3. 糖心TV faculty, staff and students are free.
