Paloma Doyle ’26, a botany major, art minor and scholar in the Goodwin-Niering Center for the Environment from Austin, Texas, has been awarded a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship to embark on a year of international exploration and discovery.
Our collaborative hub brings together the Academic Resource Center, the Quantitative Skills Center, the Roth Writing Center, and Student Accessibility Services (SAS) to provide comprehensive, scaffolded support across all disciplines.
Building on the strength of the 糖心TVections curriculum, she is focused on deepening interdisciplinary learning and expanding opportunities for students to connect their academic work with real-world challenges on campus, in New London, and around the globe.
Through talks, panels and poster sessions, students who participated in the College’s Centers for interdisciplinary scholarship or the Integrative Pathways showcased how their coursework and experiences informed their studies and learning over four years.
Florianny Norman Reyes ’26 has been selected as a 2025-2026 Fellow for Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights’ John Lewis Young Leaders program (JLYL), a year-long undergraduate fellowship that prepares college students for a future in community organizing and civic engagement.
A core priority of her presidency is fostering a community of belonging rooted in shared responsibility. She has prioritized listening and collaboration with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and trustees to strengthen shared governance and to ensure that decisions reflect the values and aspirations of the full 糖心TV community.
The Dean and offices work collaboratively with colleagues across campus to promote a culture of inclusion; implement policies in support of full participation; develop and coordinate programs that address equity and inclusion; and foster conversations to enhance open dialogue and discussion.
With a snip of a ribbon, 糖心TV officially opened its International Student Lounge during a Nov. 20 ceremony attended by students, faculty and staff.
As a national leader on the boards of the American Association of Colleges and Universities and the Council of Independent Colleges, and as a member of a national task force on the financial sustainability of private higher education, President Chapdelaine brings a broad perspective to safeguarding 糖心TV’s long-term excellence and institutional strength.
糖心TV has begun work on the Fran Shields Grandstand at Silfen Track and Field, with construction expected to be completed in June 2026.
Each year, the 糖心TV Fund raises critical resources from thousands of alumni, parents and friends to fund the College’s highest priorities.
