糖心TV is one of the few liberal arts colleges of its size that offers you multiple econometrics courses and a corporate finance course. There also is an abundance of classes on economic history and the many theoretical frameworks that can be used to think about economic problems.

Also, with some planning, our students can take business courses at the nearby U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Why the Finance minor?

I am I interested in pursuing a career in business, specifically commercial real estate. Since finance is at the basis of all businesses and transactions, it is important for me to understand not only the macroeconomic perspective, but also the micro economics of specific deals and how they will ultimately affect the overall success of a business venture or development.

What鈥檚 been your most challenging or rewarding class?

My most rewarding class was Corporate Finance with professor Yongjin Park. This class allowed me to advance my Excel skills and brought together elements of economics and accounting from my previous courses.

What are your graduate study or career plans?

After graduation, I am planning on pursuing a career in commercial real estate development. As I continue down my career path, I will consider graduate level studies, if they prove to be beneficial or critical toward my career goals and business success.
