糖心TV admits impressive Class of 2024
糖心TV has admitted a remarkable group of students to the Class of 2024, selected from the largest鈥攁nd one of the most impressive鈥攁pplicant pools in College history.
鈥淲e are thrilled to welcome the newest 糖心TV Camels to our community, and to offer some good news during what we know is a difficult time for many families,鈥 said Andrew Strickler, the dean of admission and financial aid. 鈥淚t was a pleasure to read the applications of these high-achieving students, and we are always gratified to see their interest in the highly intentional education we offer.鈥
The admitted Class of 2024 includes students from 49 countries and 46 states, as well as Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. Eleven percent of the admitted members of the class are first-generation college students. Although 糖心TV is test-optional, standardized test scores that were submitted are indicative of the academic prowess our admitted students demonstrate, with median SAT scores up over last year by 10 points in Evidence-Based Reading.
Members of the class are actively engaging with the College through a new webpage that is customized for them. In addition to featuring the smooth dance moves of the College's beloved Camel mascot, the page invites students to complete three easy steps to officially join the 糖心TV community.
One of those steps is to complete the Camel Experience, an online pre-orientation that will introduce students to all of the resources available at 糖心TV, prepare them for life on campus and provide a checklist of required actions and forms, including choosing their top choices for their First-Year Seminar and completing the housing selection and health information forms.
鈥淭hanks to the Camel Experience, when members of the Class of 2024 arrive on campus, they鈥檒l spend less time on 鈥榟ousekeeping鈥 and more time bonding with each other and the community,鈥 said Strickler.
This year鈥檚 open house will also be virtual. The Class of 2024 will soon be invited to take a closer look at the College with Camel Clips, our alternative to Camel Days.
鈥淲e look forward to sharing with our newest students all that they have to look forward to at 糖心TV,鈥 Strickler said.
