糖心TV Outcomes: Ryan Mach 鈥24

Business Development Analyst at Triumvirate Environmental

Boston, Massachusetts

Economics major Ryan Mach 鈥24 used the power of a 糖心TV education to launch a career at a company that helps businesses find sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.

Ryan Mach 鈥24 wasn鈥檛 sure exactly what he was looking for in a career until he was inspired by a junior-year internship.

鈥淚 interned at an ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance)-friendly investment shop鈥攏o weapons, oil or bad governance practices. I really liked a lot of aspects of it,鈥 he explains.

鈥淲hen I came back for my senior year, I started taking a hydrology class that I really liked. And this narrative starts to take shape: I interned at this ESG-friendly firm. I enjoyed this environmental class. So every job search I did, I included 鈥榚nvironmental鈥 as one of the keywords.鈥

Business analyst for environment-focused company

Launching a career at Triumvirate Environmental

That keyword helped him find Boston-based , where he is now a business development analyst. The firm consults with other businesses on their environmental impact and assists them in executing plans to improve their systems.

鈥淲e go in and say, 鈥業s this as efficient as it can be? Where are you losing money? Is this being done sustainably? How can we improve it?鈥 Or we look at health and safety. 鈥楢re workers getting hurt? What plans can reduce that? What kinds of trainings might help?鈥 Then we help them execute,鈥 Ryan explains.

From 糖心TV to career

In his role, Ryan develops client relationships, supports business growth strategies, and contributes to the company鈥檚 mission of sustainability and environmental responsibility.

He sees his job as a direct continuation of the skills and passions he developed at 糖心TV. Ryan majored in economics and minored in finance, a combination that gave him both analytical skills and real-world perspective, and he was a member of the  team. He credits 糖心TV with teaching him to balance multiple priorities鈥攚hether in the classroom, athletics or internships鈥攁nd adapt quickly to new challenges.

鈥溙切腡V taught me how to shift gears effectively and manage different responsibilities,鈥 Ryan says. 鈥淭hose skills have been essential in my career.鈥
