Faculty Learning Communities, Workshops, and Reading Groups
The Teaching with Technology Workshop Series offers faculty regular opportunities to explore new models of teaching and learning and stay current with emerging technologies. Sessions are practical, discipline-agnostic, and designed to spark ideas you can bring directly into your courses. We offer workshops throughout the academic year, often in collaboration with the Joy Shechtman Mankoff Center for Teaching & Learning.
Tempel Institute for Course Innovation
The Tempel Institute for Course Innovation offers faculty an in-depth, sustained exploration of high-impact themes at the intersection of pedagogy and technology. Each cohort moves through a structured arc of intensive workshop, monthly meetings, and ongoing consultation, providing support not just before your course, but during it.
Digitally Enhanced Learning Initiative (DELI)
DELI provides faculty with technology resources to enhance student learning in the classroom. Students in participating courses are equipped with iPads and Apple Pencils to support annotation, creative work, and active engagement with course materials. DELI also offers mini-grants to help offset costs associated with integrating new technology into your teaching.
Open Educational Resources Grant Program
The RS&CT team encourages and supports the use and creation of Open Educational Resources at ÌÇÐÄTV. Our OER Grant Program provides funding and hands-on support for faculty interested in adopting, adapting, or creating open course materials. A Call for Participation is distributed to all faculty each spring. This program is jointly funded by L&IT and the Office of the Dean of Faculty.
The Digital Scholarship Grant Program supports faculty engaged in digital scholarship projects, from initial scoping and design through course integration, student collaboration, and online publication. The program advances the College's commitment to student-faculty research and builds a campus community of practice in digital scholarship. This program is supported by the and funded by the Office of the Dean of Faculty.
