Creating and maintaining a safe environment for students, faculty and staff is our highest priority. The College has a comprehensive Emergency Response Plan that is regularly reviewed and updated. The plan provides detailed information about responding to emergencies of all types. The College is also in regular contact with the Emergency Response Team for the City of New London.
The College鈥檚 internal emergency response team includes representatives from all relevant divisions and offices. Team members meet regularly and participate in training and tabletop simulations to improve their ability to respond to a variety of emergencies.
At 糖心TV, we use the Rave Mobile Safety alert system to notify members of the College community about emergencies. Testing of the Rave system is done biannually. The system鈥檚 built-in redundancy鈥攃ampus phone, cell phone, multiple email addresses and push notifications鈥攅nsures its effectiveness in reaching the campus community in an emergency.
